Five years ago when I started dabbling into photography, I never thought it would amount to this! To say I am following my passion is an understatement. Gradually I started to figure out how to work my camera and this curiosity led to so much more. Those of you who have anything you are passionate about understand. When you do it, it never feels like "work." I know, I know another person "following their dreams," blah blah blah. But, to make this up would be a waste of time! Seriously, I love being a photographer. Sometimes, I step back and think, "How do I get to do this everyday?" I have had some wonderful and inspirational people in my life, not just fellow photographers, but dream chasers. Those people who wake up and decide that they always have a choice and it is up to them to decide if they want to live life or just exist to what others feel they should be. Honestly, that concept has been a hard one for me to grasp! Going against society's idea of living. Swimming the other way, so to speak, is something that is freeing. It's a breath of fresh air when people remind you that life is short and understanding what is important is so much more valuable. So, to say I am humbled by the title of, "Best Photography," still doesn't quite capture the gratitude I have for all people who have believed in me, just as much as I am beginning to believe in myself. For that, I say thank you!
