When that light is just right, it creates magic! This day was perfect! We ventured down a trail, just off the road and walked until that light peeked through the trees to create a golden hue that made the cool winter day, feel warm and cozy. These two were so in sync, and it was a dream to shoot! Thank you for allowing me to capture these memories for you!

This is what I love about extended family sessions, the stories! Seriously listening to the stories that start with, "Remember when..." just fill my heart! Today, we are so busy running around with our schedules, that I find it amazing every time I get an extended family session booking, by that I mean, finding a date to get everyone together is truly remarkable. Just look at this adorable family that aligned their schedules to come together to capture these memories! From Prince Albert to Alberta, they made it work and I was so happy they did! Thank you for asking me to capture these memories for you!

  • Prince Albert Couples Session

Let's go ahead and say it, "Pets are simply the best!" Their reactions, their excitement, their wonder, it's so fun to see! I can't tell you how many times a dog has come right up to my camera to check it out. This little pup and her parents were no exception, as soon as we started shooting she was camera ready. When you are shooting with a pet, particularly a dog, it is always nice to have a leash to be able to hang on to that excited pup, treats are always encouraged as well! This puppy did so well and I can't wait to capture more of her for years to come!

  • Prince Albert Family Session: Johnson

Winter sessions go like this, shoot, warm-up repeat! They're shorter, but still so sweet! The Johnson family braved the cold of this -20degrees day to capture some beautiful memories, just in time for Christmas. They bundled their littles up before and in between shots, to keep them happy and warm. They kiddos did so well, and even left happy. Thank you so much to this wonderful family for braving the cold with me!

  • Prince Albert Extended Family Session: What the Heck do we Wear?

I am not a fan of blue jeans and black t-shirts. there is a difference of matching too much! There is Nothing I love more than a extended family session, the bonus is when they all coordinate! This beautiful family chose four colours and mixed and matched between each family. they decided on pink, blue, beige, and white. They had a few patterns but kept them really subtle, which avoided the images being to busy or distracting. Another great thing they did was mix the different lengths of clothing styles. Some had maxi dresses, while others had short dresses, some had shorts, while others had pants. Some had hats and hair accessories and some went without. This coordination allowed the session to look cohesive without looking like they all tried to look like the same person. Well done! They used my style guide, which is provided to all of my clients as well as a session guide to help them plan ahead stress free. If you want to book your session, you get this service as well! Go ahead and click on my "Book me" page to inquire about booking a session. I can't wait to hear from you soon!

  • Flora Bora: Love by the Lake

This day was beautiful! i travelled to an intimate and private venue near Christopher Lake, SK called, Flora Bora. Once I parked my vehicle and unloaded all my gear, I enjoyed a short walk down a shaded treed path where I came across the most cutest yurts! each equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Hello Glamping! chantelle and Tyler got ready separately, but made the choice to do a first look before the ceremony. This took place down the beautiful shaded path that I ventured on to get to the venue. They said I do by the water surrounded by their closest family and friends, Then continued with dinner and dance under the stars, it was magical. Thank you to Chantelle and Tyler for being so unbelievably kind, you are truly wonderful!

  • Candle Lake Engagement: Lake Love

Have you always wanted to do a session at a lake? I'm going to give you a few little tips to help you plan your session! First, our summer days are long, which means be prepared to work around the hardcore beach goers that beach all day and into the evening. If it's a public beach you can't do much about that, but hope they stay out of your way. Shooting takes place in the early evening, beaches are beautiful, but they are also bright, so shooting when the sun is lower and softer gives you a lot of chances to play around with the light and avoid squinting. Next, if your plan is to go into the water, start on land first and take advantage of the beach and greenery around and then head into the water, that way you don't have to worry about getting too wet. finally, bring an extra pair of clothes to change into as well as a towel, nothing feels worse then riding home in a wet pair of jeans! So there you have it, a few tips for a lake session. I am always game to venture to a lake and explore, if this sounds like you, go ahead and click on my "BOOK ME" page and we can chat further! Can't wait to hear from you!

  • Prince Albert couples Session: Golden Hour Love

Yes that's right, golden hour! it's as beautiful as it sounds. Sometimes, it means shooting at 8pm in July, sometimes that means shooting at 3:30 pm in December, it changes with the seasons! I'm a sucker for summer golden hour. The warmth, the breeze, the endless possibilities to run through the grass in your bare feet just makes my heart so happy. So, if you want that beautiful light (which is never a guarantee!) aim for the time of day where the sunset is about an hour away. I can't wait for my next golden hour session very soon!
